Toyota Tacoma Bilstein 5100 + Method/Nitto Ridge Grappler
For Toyota Tacoma owners looking for a suspension upgrade in addition to a subtle lift, Bilstein 5100s are one of our favorites. Adjustable perches on the front struts allow lift options ranging from 0-2.5". A stainless steel body with zinc coating protects from the elements, the striking appearance is a welcome bonus. Bilstein's patented Digressive Valving reacts to road changes to provide a stable, controlled and comfortable ride.
The front set of 5100s were set to the highest setting in front at 2.5". Out back, 2" lift blocks paired with longer 5100s completes the lift. A Differential Drop kit was also installed to protect against over extension of CV axle joints.
The additional height allowed a 33" tire to be fitted. In this case a set of 17x8.5 Method Con6 Wheels wrapped in 285/70r17 Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires: one of the quietest, best on road mannered Mud Terrain tires available.
Front Bilstein 5100s range from $100-150 each, while rears are between $80-100e each. Rear lift blocks with Ubolts are $70-100. Differential Drop Kits are $50
